Eating Out*: Cafe O-Mai

Hey, this is my last eating out post from places I went in 2019! Hurrah, I will soon be in the correct year!

My best friend's birthday is on New Year's Eve, and last year we went out for lunch for it. We went to Cafe O-Mai (which I have posted about a few times before), as it has a good range of vegan options. We were the only two vegans there, so I will just show what we ordered.

I had my favourite Tofu Rice Paper Rolls with peanut hoisin sauce, and the wonderful Lemongrass Tofu Vermicelli Salad. So fresh and tasty!



I also had the Lychee and Mint Frappe. Which I have to remember for future is SO COLD THAT YOU WILL HAVE COLD PAIN AT EVERY SIP. At least for the first fifteen minutes. Delicious, but so icy.



Ashleigh had the Vegan Affogato for her drink. They use a coconut sorbet, so it is vegan as is.



And she had the Buddha Vermicelli Salad, which has lemongrass tofu, spring rolls, and crispy tofu. I've had this before and it is nice, but I just love the lemongrass tofu so much I like getting the lemongrass tofu bowl so I can have more of it.



Someone else also ordered the Vietnamese Curry with Tofu and Mushrooms, which is vegan. The menu says it is a mild curry, and Ashleigh has had it before no problems (it was a bit too much for me, of course). But she tried some of this and said it was really spicy this time.



Cafe O-Mai is currently open for takeaway and does deliveries in the immediate vicinity (which I sadly am not in).
