Friday 2nd: Kitchen tour – Show us where the magic happens!
I've done a number of kitchen tours for previous MoFos, which you can see here, and honestly my kitchen hasn't really changed. But I thought for this year I'd show a few of the cute kitty things that I have in my kitchen. When I pulled these out, I realised that tragically I hardly ever use them. A shame, because they are very cute.
Firstly, this adorable tea set I bought from a Japanese-inspired shop near work. The tea pot has a strainer built in, and it is just the right size for a lovely mug of tea.
I bought all of these cute little bowls home from my trip to Japan in 2012. I just realised as I was doing this post that the kitty graphic on the pink bowls is the same as on the tea set above! Even more matchy, I love it!
This set of mugs is very much my style. Pink, black, cats. Unfortunately I have never used them, because most of our mugs are hung up on a mug tree and these are a bit of a strange shape for that. But one day!
My collection of kitty chopsticks. My favourite ones to use are the pink glitter Hello Kitty ones, of course. Both the Hello Kitty ones came from my Japan trip as well.
Finally, an assortment of cat mugs. I'm afraid I have lost many good mug friends over the years, I can be klutzy and mug + caesar stone benchtop can only really end one way. I used to use the one on the left hand side all the time, but more recently I have been using the Christmas one since I broke my favourite 'Check Meowt' mug from Typo. Sigh.
Cute Kitty Photo of the Post
My sweet girl Sahara had a basket that she just loved. She had many beds, but it was her favourite. This photo was taken not long after I got her, and she was sleeping in her basket in the most amusing way. That does not look comfortable!
Love the glittery chopsticks, how fun!
ReplyDeletePink and glitter always make me happy.
DeleteWow, so many kitty things, you could open your own theme shop! I love the kitty chopsticks!
ReplyDeletePink and glitter always make me happy too!!
Sahara looks both comfortable and uncomfortable, which is something cats are so good at!!!
When I was in Japan I did find a little kitty themed shop that had heaps and heaps and heaps of kitchen stuff and I was so sad that I couldn't buy it all!
DeleteI break all my mugs and drinking glasses constantly, too! Yours are so cute, I'm sure you can enjoy them thoroughly while they last.
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice way of looking at it! I tend to stick to the one mug until it breaks, then move on to the next, so they are generally well used before their tragic demise.
DeleteOMG!! It's all so cute! I could never pick a favorite item because they are all amazing (although the pink glittery chopsticks are indeed phenomenal). Sweet Sahara <3
ReplyDeleteI really need to pull all of these things out to use them more, they make me so happy to look at!
DeleteSometimes it is a blessing when a mug breaks, because there are so many fun mugs out there. Too many to drink from.
ReplyDeleteThat is true! Though at the moment I am having a hard time finding a new one to take the place of my dearly departed black one, so instead I am just using my Christmas one all the time.
DeleteOh, I love all of the kitty things! Kitchenware + cats are two of my favorite things - especially when lots of Japanese imports are involved. What a fun assortment of items!
ReplyDeleteJapan really has cornered the market on adorable kitty kitchen stuff, I think.
DeleteSo many cute kitty things in your kitchen! I think the tea set is my favorite! Silly Sahara <3
ReplyDeleteIt is a very cute set!
DeleteSahara is incredibly silly in this photo. :)
